Mia Milardo

Mia Milardo is a Vancouver-based Canadian animator and illustrator. She studied 2D + Experimental Animation at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, with special interests in stop motion and experimental methods.She enjoys a mixed-media approach to art, always experimenting with intriguing materials to create handmade and tactile aesthetics. Mia’s student film Fruiting Bodies has been shown at film festivals worldwide such as the Ottawa International Animation Festival, and she recently worked on the feature documentary The Chef & the Daruma creating hand-drawn animated scenes with collage elements.
